To simplify your search remember STYLE is key. Begin by finding the style that fits your body type. Select a gown that enhances your silhouette. Be open to suggestions by the professionals helping you, trust their guidance and expertise.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions and discuss ideas with the professional helping you. There are many outside influences which also help you select the right gown. Many brides developed a theme for the occasion working around one particular focal point. The time of day and your location are all factors to consider. Morning and afternoon events allow for a more casual type of attire, using lighter fabrics and shorter lengths. Evenings events require sophisticated elegance in a more formal setting.
On your first visit keep it simple. Please remember to wear the proper under garments and refrain form using perfume', body lotion, and especially tanning oils or sprays. Come alone or with a trusted friend. It is much easier to make your style choice without too many other distractions. Keep in mind this is the most important decision you will make for your wedding.
Bridal shops are not child proof. Ladies please be kind to yourself and courteous
to others, make prior arrangements for small children and infants, they become bored quickly causing a distraction to you and others. This allows everyone to stay focused, relax and enjoy the day out. We suggest booking an appointment a hour to a hour and a half per visit. Our staff will
assist you in selecting three or four gowns to try on and evaluate. This will give you a good idea your likes & dislikes, and our staff will keep track of your favorites. You may think three or four gowns is not enough, but the time goes quickly and after awhile the gowns begin to look alike.
Spending an entire day of shopping, and bouncing from one salon to another only causes confusion and frustration. Keep it fun. Take your time. Give your self a day or two between visits to reflect on what you have seen and how you felt in each of your selections. Once you have narrowed your selections to a few of your favorites bring on the family and friends, relax and have fun. If your timetable permits begin shopping one year prior to the wedding date. Plan to purchase your gown as soon as possible.
Most shops require half down on gown orders. Buying early provides a buffer period for any unforeseen problems that may arise. If you don't have that long to plan be open minded, flexible and creative in your approach to selecting your gown. When it is the right gown you will know it. Stop your search. Make the purchase. Move on to the next task, rejoicing in your accomplishment.
